Cardon Smith is the founding attorney of Smith Trial Group. He represents people who have been seriously injured or treated unfairly at work, and he has practiced law in California since 2011.
Before founding the firm, Cardon spent years on the other side of the courtroom, litigating high-stakes business disputes for Fortune 500 companies. He now uses that experience to build cases for individuals and families against insurance companies and large employers.

Background and Experience
Cardon studied at Brigham Young University and earned his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a member of the nationally ranked mock trial team. After law school he served as a law clerk to a United States District Judge, seeing firsthand how federal judges evaluate motions, evidence and trial presentation.
He then joined a Newport Beach law firm, where he litigated complex business disputes for Fortune 500 companies. In 2015 he founded Smith Trial Group to give injured people and employees the same caliber of representation that large corporations rely on.
Having represented corporations, Cardon knows how defense lawyers and insurers value a case, where they look for weaknesses, and what it takes to move them toward fair value. He prepares every case as if it will be tried. He is admitted to practice in California state courts and in the federal courts.
